Axel sighed sadly as he watched the coffin slowly descend into the earth.  Tossing a lily on top of the coffin, he felt wet drops hit his cheeks.  He looked up at the dark sky, watching and blinking quickly to keep the drops from falling in and blurring his vision.  He looked back at the coffin, his tears now not noticeable as the rain dripped on.  Suddenly, the rain stopped above him.  Looking to his right he saw a blonde woman, her face grim.  Axel sighed again, and let the tears pour freely as the coffin was covered in dirt.  He looked at Larxanne sadly and wiped his eyes.
“Does he know how much I’m going to miss him Larxanne?” Larxanne felt tears tug at the corner of her eyes when she saw his empty look, staring right through her.  Sadness tugged at her heart as she watched the man, her childhood friend, look down into the ever-filling pit of death.  Sighing, she hugged his arm close to hers, emptiness closing between them.
“He knows.  I can feel it Axel.  He’ll watch over us, and insure our happiness.  He loved you.” Axel smiled sadly, his teardrop tattoos scrunching slightly.  More tears fell down his face as he looked at his muddied dress shoes.
“I loved him too.” Larxanne let some tears spill as he embraced her back.  Marluxia watched the two, sadly joining them in the embrace.  Demyx was crying his eyes into oblivion as Zexion pulled him over to join as well.  The whole group of friends was now embracing each other, Axel in the center.  He set the bouquet down on the now complete grave.  As the people dispersed, Axel stood at the grave.  Larxanne patted his shoulder as she left.  Wiping her eyes she walked to the entrance of the graveyard.  She watched the red haired man as he fell to his knees at the grave.  She looked away sadly and got into the black car.
“Let’s go…” Xigbar looked at her questioningly.
“What about Axel…?” Larxanne sighed,
“He needs to be alone right now…let’s go.” The car began and they slowly drove away.  Axel watched the car go from his place.  He looked at the grave again, his guilt washing over him like the rain.
“I’ll go back.  I’ll save you this time.  I love you Roxas…I do…” Axel stood up, sniffing softly.  He watched the grave for who knows how long.  The rain became heavier, falling harsh and cold.  Each drop hit his suit and skin like a piercing ice bullet.  Each bullet hit him with a quick sting, then went away.  He finally left, walking home alone.  He walked down the cold streets, people staring as he passed.  He turned, turning away from his house, heading to Sora’s.  He had to apologize.  He had to apologize for Roxas’s death.  He knew it was his fault.  He should Never have told Roxas to go away.  Not when Roxas was like that.

How could Roxas still love him?  He was impure.
